Say No to Guns

How many children must die before you do something, America? The winds of change are coming and we hope that this recent tragic incident in Connecticut will force the US Government to make changes in the gun law. The encouraging signs are that the politicians have agreed to discuss a way forward. Ban all guns, I say. Equipped with a gun, a madman can shoot and kill indiscriminately from a safe distance.  Only recently there was the killing spree at a cinema showing the new Batman film.

Of course, if one is intent on killing one can just use a kitchen knife. However, with a knife you have to be up close and can hurt only one person at a time, thereby reducing the number significantly. 

My heart goes out to all the parents who lost their loved ones-little lives snuffed out before they had a chance to live. May their memories live on in our hearts and rouse us into action.
